Preaching Twins

Caleb and Joshua preached their first sermons today. The kids were playing church in Maggie’s room. Caleb’s sermon was about God being the most powerful of all. Joshua’s was about the fact that death can’t beat God.

too smart

Izzy came into my bedroom and said, "Mom, I really like reading now." I said, "That's great, buddy." He said, "Can I play X-Box now?" (we've stopped the gaming until they can demonstrate a love for reading).

best friends club

The kids have transformed the bunk beds into a clubhouse (it's the "best friends club"). I overheard them saying, "you have to swipe your baseball card through the scanner to get in." It is definitely a different day we live in!

Sweet Sympathy


I wasn't feeling well yesterday, and when Jason told the kids, "Mommy is sick today." Izzy said, "Aw, poor mommy. I wish she wasn't sick." His tone was so sweet and sympathetic, I wish I could have tape-recorded it. These words will have to do.
